Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos islands have a unique ecosystem with many species found nowhere else on Earth, such as the giant tortoise, the Galapagos sea lion and the marine iguana. The islands can be explored by sea or from a land-based lodge. Sightings of blue-footed and red footed boobies, frigate birds, herons, cormorants, albatrosses and Darwin’s finches make birdlife quite abundant here. Marine life is vast as well which includes seals, whales, dolphins, sharks, rays, crabs and tropical fish. The photo worthy opportunities do not stop and the snorkeling provides travelers to explore the rich marine life up close and personal.
